IN APRIL 2024 we will be electing…

            Mayor, for the term of two years, to succeed Dale Oppermann, incumbent, whose term will expire on April 16, 2024.

            An Alderperson At-Large, for the term of two years, to succeed Jim Schroeder, incumbent, whose term will expire on April 16, 2024.

            An Alderperson At-Large, for the term of two years, to succeed Richard Lares incumbent, whose term will expire on April 16, 2024.

            An Alderperson At-Large, for the term of two years, to succeed Joe Mattke, incumbent, whose term will expire on April 16, 2024.

            An Alderperson At-Large, for the term of two years, to succeed Chick Neils, whose term will expire on April 16, 2024.

Run for Office

Nomination Papers (see links below) may be printed on-line or picked up by coming into City Hall (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm).

IMPORTANT — You MUST file a CF-1 Campaign Registration Statement  with City Hall PRIOR to circulation of nomination papers.  For additional candidacy resources, please use the Wisconsin Election Commission website.

In order to become a candidate on either (or both) the February and April ballot.  You must turn in a Declaration of Candidacy, Campaign Registration Statement and Nomination Paper for Nonpartisan Office (Rev. 2019-10) Fillable (with the correct amount of signatures).  All Candidates are encouraged to print the Ballot Access Checklist – Spring 2024 (Rev. 2023-05)_1

Nomination Papers can be circulated starting DECEMBER 1, 2023. Papers MUST be returned to City Hall by January 2, 2024 5:00 pm.  If the deadline needs to be extended, we will post that information on this site and notify our official media.

RECAP 

  • The first day to circulate nomination papers is December 1.
  • Nomination papers are due by 5 p.m. the first Tuesday in January (if this day lands on a holiday, they are due the next business day).
  • A notification of non-candidacy is due the second Friday before the nomination papers deadline (if this day lands on a holiday, the notification is due the next business day) .
