After business hours, payments can be dropped off in the silver night deposit box located on the North side of the building.
The budget billing program is a free service offered to all residential customers. The program is designed to help you avoid unpredictable utility bills and make balancing your budget a little easier.
Your monthly budget amount is based on the average of your actual bill charges during the previous 12 months. Any expected increase in the cost of water/sewer/storm/refuse are also calculated into the monthly payment when you enroll in the program. We continue to read your meter every month and your utility bill will show how much water you used, the actual bill amount and the balance on your account. Some months you will pay less for what you actually used and some months you will pay more.
If you would like more information, or are interested in budget billing, complete our online interest form or call our office at 920.674.7700.

Jefferson residents and businesses use over 300 million gallons of water each year. Water is vital to our community and we are fortunate in Jefferson to have a high-quality water supply. One of our priorities is protecting this natural resource!
There are four deep wells in Jefferson. Water pumped from those depths comes out nice and cold; about 52 degrees year ’round. The water is treated and tested regularly to ensure Jefferson residents and businesses continue to receive a safe and plentiful water supply.
Meter Reading & Billing
Your meter is an automated meter which means that the usage data is collected through a cellular remote (located on the inside of your home) each month. The City will be working to combine the five billing cycles into one. This will create a first bill that will little shorter or a little longer than your prior billing. After the first bill generated by the City Office, the cycle will return to a monthly reading.
For questions regarding current water rates you can call the Water Department directly at 920-674-7700.
