ROWING REGATTA ALERT

Jefferson is hosting the 5th Annual WISCO Chase Rowing Regatta this weekend! Racing takes place Sunday morning (10/4) at Rock River Landing Park and along a 3K stretch of the Rock River.

Setup begins Friday and continues until the first boats launch Sunday morning. Please use caution around the intersection of Puerner St. and N. Elizabeth St. throughout the weekend.

Key things to know:

Boat launch closure: The Rock River Landing boat launch will be closed to the public from Saturday, 10/3 at 12:00 PM through the end of the event, including Saturday practice. It will reopen Monday morning.

On the water: Boaters, please watch for competitors and observe no-wake conditions along the 3K race course.

Puerner St. Bridge: Spectators will gather on the north side of the bridge to watch boats pass. Expect reduced speeds and traffic narrowed to two lanes during the race.

Thanks for your patience, and come cheer on the rowers!
