Electric Utility Staffing Update
August 25, 2026
Last night, the Electric Utility Commission met to discuss the utility’s ongoing operations and current staffing needs.
Due to recent and pending staff resignations, staffing levels in the Electric Utility office are expected to temporarily fall below what is needed for normal office operations. To maintain service and support customers, the Commission reached a consensus to have City Hall staff assist with office responsibilities during this interim period.
This temporary arrangement will help ensure continuity of operations while permanent staffing is secured. We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding during this transition and will share additional updates as they become available.
